At times, we all may need someone to come alongside us on life’s journey to help us navigate obstacles to get where we want to go.  In therapy, I will collaborate with you to build on strengths, address thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you, and find solutions so you can address challenges and reach your goals.  I believe that you are the expert on your own experience.  My approach to therapy includes cognitive behavioral therapy with a systemic, existential perspective.  Together we will explore what is happening with you individually, in your family, and in environments such as work and school related to your current goals and challenges.

I have a Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and English from Lewis & Clark College, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary.

I have nearly two decades of experience working in non-profits and advocacy, and I have an understanding of how oppressive systems and trauma can impact individual and community mental health, including racism, sexism, and ableism.  I take a social justice approach to mental health, which is interconnected with the health and well-being of families and communities.  Additionally, I am of Greek heritage and have personal experience managing chronic illness.
