Ejae Goddard, MFT Intern

My approach to therapy is rooted in an anti-oppression and liberatory psychology framework. As your therapist I believe that you are the expert on your lived experience and life, I will walk with you through your healing journey. We will focus on solidarity and collaboration together. I am aware of the impact that varying forms of systemic oppression have on all of us and our communities. I aim to find ways for us to exist with joy while existing within these systems.

I primarily work from an integrative approach to therapy, pulling from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, individual adults, couples, families, and other relationship configurations. I am sex and body positive. Personally, I am White, queer, and trans/nonbinary. I am also a member of the climbing community and aim to incorporate eco-therapy into my work.

I am currently pursuing a Masters in Couples and Family Therapy at Antioch University Seattle. My previous career was in cancer research. I am trained in trauma-informed care and am also currently working towards a certification in trauma therapy from Antioch University.
